This looks like just the thing I've been looking for.
Could you tell me though, does Mass Content add the content as well?
Edited: Ah yes, I see that it does add content but can it import text files rather than paste in the content as I've got around three hundred text files that I need to import as articles. Some of them are quite lengthy, so cutting & pasting into the field would be quite time consuming.

Hi Sue,
Importing from files is not yet a functionality of the component.
It is in my roadmap, probably the next big update of masscontent. I just don't know when it will be released...
I agree that in your case it would be perfect to import so many files!!!
